Az Office kereskedelmi termék, nem ingyenes. Vannak az Officenak szabadon -->terjeszthető<-- részei, ami worst case annyit jelent, hogy a user a Microsoft honlapjáról ingyenesen letöltheti, de legális Windows licenccel rendelkező felhasználók között szabadon továbbadható egymásnak (Reader alkalmazások pl)
Sosem állítottam, hogy az Office szabadon módosítható. Az Office termékek funkcionalitását lehet a fejleszthető add-inek segítségével bővíteni.
Az összehasonlítás témája jelenleg az OOo kontra Microsoft Office, a StarOffice-szal szembeni érveim nem ide tartoznak. (pedig lenne belőlük)
A versenyhivatali ügy pedig végképp nem az Office csomagok vitájához kapcsolódik és nem is én lennék ebben a kompetens, de ha szükséges, megszerzem a hivatalos hozzáállást az ügyhöz. -

nos, ebben van a kutya elásva. nincs ms lisencem. ez így van. nekem nem adhatja ide, tehát nem lehet szabadon továbbadni. az egy dolog, hogy én szabadon odaadom a kocsim kulcsát az öcsémnek, de senki másnak nem adom oda! ez nem szabadon terjesztés.
másik dolog, hogy itt nem a buissness csomagot hasonlítanánk össze, hanem a home user által legtöbbet használt alkalmazásrészleteket tartalmazó ms office-t egy openoffice 2.0-t.A bortól bolondokat gondol az ember, DE A PÁLINKÁTÓL MEG IS CSINÁLJA!!!

Kaphatnék egy linket (meg szerintem nemcsak engem érdekelne), ahol magyarul (elég gyenge vagyok angolból) olvashatok résztelesen az M$ Off2003 csoportmunka-támogatásáról, a SharePointról, és a mindenféle menedzselhetőségről?
Ha nincs magyar link, angolul is OK

Ismét csak azt tudom mondani: tessék mérlegelni, ki mire kívánja használni.
1. - ha szükséges, tessék megvenni a Microsoft Office-t.
2. - ha nem ragaszkodik a roppant kevesek számára szükséges és használt extra funkciókhoz az user, és nincs rá píze pl., netán lejárt az állami szponzoráció az oskola befejezte okán, akkor ott az OOo.
Az OOo mellesleg a céges felhasználók körében is erősen megvetette a lábát, és tapasztalatból állítom, hogy még egy igen jól menő, az egész világra szállító vállalat számára sem mindegy, mennyit köt szoftverekre.Én normális vagyok! Megmondták a hangok is a fejemben!

Magyarországon viszonylag kevés a nagyvállalat. Ahol több száz gépet kell karbantartani, ott érdemes a TCO-n elmélkedni, de kevesebb munkaállomás esetén ezek az előnyök nem érvényesülnek. Tökéletesen megértem, ha moonman nem akarja a jól bevált rendszerét lecserélni, biztos megvannak ennek a szakmai indokai. Viszont nem igazságos az OOo-t otthoni játékszerként tekinteni. Ügyvédi irodák, kisvállalkozások pár PC-vel, oktatási intézmények stb. mind a potenciális felhasználók között vannak, ismerünk sikertörténeteket ebből a szektorból. A Fővárosi Bíróság is felhozható példának, teljesen átálltak OpenOffice.org-ra.

A TCO-nak, mint számnak valóban csak nagyobb vállatoknál van értelme, viszont az olyan ''apróságok'' mint a deployment kitek már 5 pc felett is megkönnyíthetik a munkát.
Egy Office csomag telepítése (főleg vállalatoknál) nemcsak a ''setup és kész is''-ből áll, hanem a vállalati szabályoknak megfelelő (akár csak e-mail fiók beállítás) teendőket is végre kell hajtani. Ha ezt automatizálni lehet, valóban sok időt megspórolhatunk.

Azt hiszem, nagy tévedésben van.

Ha jól megnézi, beidéztem az FSF-es kollega szavait és azokra regáltam ''->'' -al elválasztva, sajnálom, hogy nem vette észre.
Kezdem magam általános iskolában érezni önnel kapcsolatban. Nem az Office-ra mondtam, hogy szabadon terjeszthető (értsd: ingyenesen), hanem a Reader alkalmazásokra. Megkérném, a szezont se keverje a fazonnal, a szabadalom meg az NDA más tészta (NDA olyan béta/alpha szoftverek esetében létezik csak, melyeket egyes ügyfeleink a termék elkészülte előtt kipróbálhatnak, ebből ered a neve is: ''Non-Disclosure Agreement'', szabadalmat meg nem szoktak licencszerződésbe írogatni)
A szellemi tulajdon védelme minden kereskedelmi szoftverterméknél megvan. -

Kicsit szégyen, hogy csak most vettem észre ezt a műsort és a fórumot, de elszomorít, hogy úgy rendez a rádió egy vitát az MS Office/OOo környékén, hogy a Sun-t meg sem keresi az ügyben.

vannak ingyenes megoldások, és a szabadon módosíthatót sem úgy értette, hogy a programba nyúlsz bele, hanem a program funkcionalitását változtathatod meg addon-ok segítségével, ez szabadon elvégezhető és az addon-ok szabadon terjeszthetők, erről volt szó. nemtom ki gondolhotta komolyan, hogy arra utal, hogy bárki szabadon belepiszkálhat a ''winword.exe-be''
a szabadon terjeszthető bevallom először nekem sem volt tiszta, de utólag kiderült, hogy elsősorban a viewer-ekre céloz, Word Viewer 2003 EULA-ból idézve szintén van lehetőség a továbbadásra (dokumentummal)

Jol megneztem, arra reagaltam. Es az altalad emlitett megoldas NEM *szabad*. Esetleg nekem az MS altal meg van tiltva, hogy enis reagaljak mas felveteseire ?
Az NDA a szellemi tulajdon vedelmenek egyik remek modja. Az, hogy csak alfa/beta szoftverek eseten letezik ilyen, nos ez meglehetosen hianyos ismereteket feltetelez. Pl.: A munkaszerzodeshez (vagy megbizasi szerzodeshez) is jar egy, ezt aligha maradt ki, ha valaki az MS-nek dolgozik ;-) Ugye, hogy nem csak alfa/beta szoftverekhez letezik? Ugye.
Szabadalmat meg szoktak license szerzodesbe irogatni, nem is keveset. Meg lennek lepve, ha egy MS license-ben nem szerepelne a szabadalom kifejezes. Javaslok nemi konzultaciot a jogi csapattal.

SharePoint integráció: kb fél óra alatt írtam meg azt a filtert Java-ban ami fog egy feltöltött .odt file-t, nyit rá egy ZipInputStream-et, majd SAX parserekkel feldolgozza es kinyeri belole a szukseges informaciot. Ne akarj jogasz lenni, ha az EULA-ban patent szora keresel, es meg csak el sem akarod sorrol sorra olvasni...
Gyengebbek kedveert a 3. pont alatt szerepel, hogy turot a fuledbe, mert semmilyen szabadalom hasznalati jogot nem kapsz a MS-tol. Ezt roviden azt jelenti, hogy hiaba van neked netan dokumentalt formatumod (pl: office xml) akkor sem tudod ezt a remek tudast semmire hasznalni (konvertalni, netan generalni ilyen doksikat), mert erre szabadalma van az MS-nek! Ez am az IGAZI szabadsag

a szabad terjesztés csak és kizárólag a viewerek esetében jött szóba, egyáltalán nem is értem, hogy mik a kifogásaid az word viewer eula-ból idézett dolgokkal.

ez remek, de ha staroffice-szal kapcsolatban szeretnék infot megtudni, akkor a staroffice.org-hoz fordulok.
Az okosok itt aztmondják, ha valakinek komolyabb deploy/manage dolgok kellennek, akkor pl. a staroffice felé kell kacsingatnia. szerintem az NDA dolgot szándékosan kiforgatod, ki beszél itt rajtad kívül munkaszerződésről, szoftverekről van szó, ilyen alapon elég sokmindenbe bele lehetne kötni.

Az igazsag makacs dolog, eleg nehez kiforgatni. Egy mondatrol volt szo, ami azt allitotta, hogy alfa/beta szoftvereken kivul NINCS NDA. Mondtam egy peldat, aminek letezeset Ti is biztosan ismeritek (tekintve, hogy MS-nel kotelezo) -> sajnos erre igazat kell adjatok es en ezert szandekos sunyi kiforgato vagyok. Hat persze!
A sales droidok elete nem csak mese es jatek!
A szabadalom felhasznalasat semmi nem gatolja, am ha megteszed, akkor buncselekmenyt kovetsz el annak minden kovetkezmenyevel. Analog modon a balta felhasznalasat sem gatolja semmi ... szoval eerted. Nem csak ezt hanem barmilyen szerzodeses feltetelt el lehet fogadni: a szegeny kinai falvakban elok pl.: egy kis penzert eladjak a veruket vagy vesejuket. Te bevallalnad? Aligha. Addig amig nem Te vagy a teherviselo/szenvedo fel, addig barmi elfogadhato.
A szerzodeses felteteleket meg mindenki maga dontse el, hogy megfelel szamara vagy sem. Ugye nem haragszol meg, ha velemenyed ebben a korben mint (eladasban) erdekelt fel, nem sulyozom tulsagosan ? -

Egyébként ha nem tetszik nem kell használni. Szinte mindenre van alternatíva, akár ingyenes is. Még játszani is lehet MS nélkül, a sokkal szociálisan érzékenyebb Sony (MUHAHAHA)playstationjével...Aki él és nem boldog, az téved!

A MS támogatni fogja-e az ooo-s formátumokat (lesz-e közös nyelv)?
Az OpenOffice 2.0 az európai unió által elfogadott ''open document'' nevű xml alapú formátumot használja. Az új MS-Office-ban egy metro nevű, szintén xml alapú formátum várható. Mint látható nem lesz közös formátum, de az OpenOfficeban az xml alapú metro formátum kompatibilitása könnyedén elérheti a 100%-ot, ellenben a mostani bináris formátummal. -
Vicces is lenne, ha még a reader is fizetős lenne
Egyébként jó az a reader, kár, hogy nem használható. Valami hihetetlen módon ez is figyeli az alapértelmezett nyomtatót, és ezért aztán nincs két egyformán kinéző dokumentum két különböző gépen...
Egyébként döbbenetes, hogy ilyen brutál hiba milyen régóta benne van a wordben...Aki él és nem boldog, az téved!

a MS-nek nem kell-e tartani attol, hogy ha elveszti az irodai szoftvercsomagok terén a piaci részesedését, akkor ez kihat az operációs rendszerek piacára is?
A MS-nek most nem elsősorban ettől fáj a feje, és szerintem ez a két dolog csak explicit módon kapcsolható össze. A jelenlegi trend azt mutatja, hogy ha a web lesz az alkalmazások platformja akkor az átlagfelhasználó szemszögéből érdektelenné válnak a Microsoft dobozos kereskedelmi termékei. Ha a Sun Micosystems és a Google megalkot egy webes office környezetet, amit ingyen lehet használni, akkor új kor veszheti kezdetét... -

Ha valaki vallalati kornyezetben akarja hasznalni az OpenOffice.org funkcionalitasat, akkor igen, megveheti a StarOffice-t. Tekintheted az OpenOffice.org-ot a ''beeteto'' valtozatnak, ha ugy tetszik, de mi legalabb nem fenyegetjuk a felhasznaloinkat bilinccsel (a Sun nem tagja a BSA-nak). Plusz ingyenes keretszerzodest kotottunk az Oktatasi Miniszteriummal, aminek a kereteben az osszes oktatasi intezmeny ingyenesen jogtisztan hasznalhatja a StarOffice-t.Olyan, mint a Campus, csak ingyen van az allamnak. Idaig hianyzott a magyaritott valtozat, de hetek kerdese es ez az akadaly elharul az utbol.

Es ezzel nincs is semmi problema, mert akkor ki venne meg a kereskedelmi valtozatot, ha az nem nyujtana emeltszintu funkcionalitast a vallalatok szamara?

Az MS Office ketsegtelenul egy igen nagy multu program, amin a Microsoftnak jelentos haszna van (tudtommal kozel 70% a marginja az office uzletagon, de sajnos nincs meg a forrasom erre az adatra).
Az OpenOffice.org 2.0 es az arra epulo StarOffice 8 pedig egy feltorekvo, uj program, amivel egyertelmuen az a celja a gyartonak, hogy megtorje a Microsoft monopoliumat. Az ido majd eldonti, hogy ez a terv sikerrel jar-e, valoban draganak tartjak a cegek az MS Office-t es hajlandoak a kovetkezo evi Office elofizetes helyett egy migracios projektet es egy egyszeri, az MS Office listaaranak kb 20%-ba kerulo szoftverlicencet finanszirozni. Majd a piac eldonti. -

Én nem mondtam, hogy szoftverkommunista vagy, hanem hogy az az elvárás, hogy egy vállalat vezetője kisebb profitra hajtson, erősen a kommunista filozófia körébe tartozik. Vagyis baromság. Széttépnék a részvényesek. Meg ráadásul hülye lenne.
Egy céget azért hoz létre valaki, hogy az elképzelhető legnagyobb hasznot hozza neki. Minden profitorientált cég ilyen. Ez a dolog lényege. Nincs felső határ semmilyen megfontolásból...

Ilyen az, mikor monopólium garázdálkodik valahol. Én örülnék nagyon, ha valaki megszorongatná. Már most is látszik, hogy kénytelen csökkenteni az árait, mert az 5 évvel ezelőtti árakhoz képest abszolút értéken is 30%-al olcsóbb, de reál értéken kevesebb, mint fele áron adja az officét...
